Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-15
Deepend (“we”, “us”) builds a daily, personalized feed of long-form videos. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account basics — if you create an account, your email and a hashed password.
- Interaction signals — what you watch, save, or skip inside Deepend, used to refine your topic profile.
- Operational logs — IP address, user agent, and request times, retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention.
What we don’t collect
- Your YouTube watch history or any data from your Google account.
- Contacts, location, microphone, or camera.
- Information from third-party trackers — we do not embed advertising pixels.
How we use third-party APIs
We use the YouTube Data API to fetch public video metadata (title, description, channel, statistics). We use OpenAI and Anthropic APIs to classify topics and generate short summaries from public video descriptions. No personal data is sent to those APIs.
Retention & deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated signals by emailing privacy@deepend.video. Deleted data is removed from production within 30 days.
